Loon lake is one of the finest place to stay in the Oregon coast. It is to the west side of the Oregon coast and has beautiful resorts. Loon Lake has many spots and destinations near to the lodge. One of it is Douglas county that houses covered bridges. It has six bridges made of timber that are all covered. These were made between 1920 and 1960. Timber was widely used in the construction of bridges in those days as it was considered to be a superior construction material.
These bridges are a delight to watch and all are more than lengths exceeding 50 feet and some touching over 100 feet. Douglas county is also famous for Rural biking and houses Douglas county museum for natural and cultural history.
Other major attractions are Dean Creek Elk viewing area. It houses the exotic wild Elks and birds that flock in large numbers to this place. The atmosphere all around the Oregon coast is very pleasant. People take part in all outdoor activities including sports and events that take place in Oregon.
